About Used Hockey Gear Finder
An independent site that puts every offer for a piece of hockey gear on one page: used, closeout and new. We don't sell gear; we help you find it at other sellers.
Who runs it
I'm Julien Levadoux. I was born in Boston, raised in Paris, and have lived in the Bay Area since 1999. I also run Used Club Finder, which does the same job for used golf clubs.
Hockey gear is expensive and kids outgrow it every season, while last year's stick models go on clearance as new ones arrive. Finding the right stick means checking several sellers, each with its own names for the same flex, curve and size. Used Hockey Gear Finder does that work once: one page per model, its specs from named sources, and the offers side by side at their delivered price.
Before this I spent more than 13 years in software quality assurance, at Adobe and Macromedia, which is where the habit of checking every number comes from. If you spot a mistake, tell me: corrections are fixed first.
Used Hockey Gear Finder is published by Paris Supply Group LLC, my small company in California.
How we make money
Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the seller pays us a small commission at no cost to you. Every page with an affiliate link says so before the first one. Today that means eBay, through the eBay Partner Network. Hockey stores are added as their affiliate programs approve us.
Sellers can't pay for placement, and commission never affects the order.
How the finder works
Ordered by delivered price. Prices include shipping where the seller states it, and say "plus calculated shipping" where the seller leaves it to eBay to work out from your ZIP code at checkout. Sellers at the same price take turns being listed first.
Age group, hand, flex and curve on every listing. A junior stick never appears among senior ones. When a listing doesn't state its flex or curve, it sits in its own group, marked "not stated": we never guess.
Only sellers we chose. On eBay we show established hockey retailers with large eBay shops and top feedback, not individual sellers. Pro stock, repaired, custom and multi-stick listings are left out, because the title alone can't confirm the stick.
Every spec has a source. Release years, flexes, curves and launch prices come from the brand's own pages first, then major retailers, each named on the page. A blank means no source we checked states it.
No used helmets or cages. Hockey helmets and facemasks carry a certification that expires (see how to read the HECC sticker), so we will only ever list them new.
No coupons, no made-up discounts. We only show a price a seller is actually charging.

Trademarks
Brand and model names are used only to identify the gear being described. All trademarks belong to their owners. Used Hockey Gear Finder is not owned by or endorsed by any manufacturer or store; belonging to an affiliate program is a commission arrangement, nothing more.
